سرزمین سرمت و سکائستان در سال ۱۰۰ پ.م. گستره شاهنشاهی پارت نیز در نقشه نشان داده شده.


سَکائستان یا سرزمین سکاها ناحیه‌ای بود در اوراسیا که از سدهٔ ۸ پ.م. تا سدهٔ ۲ پس از میلاد محل سکونت قوم ایرانی‌تبار[نیازمند منبع]}سکا بود.
محدودهٔ ان در گذر زمان متغیر بود ولی معمولاً محدودهٔ غربی آن گسترده‌تر از آن بود که در نقشهٔ روبرو نشان داده شده.[۱]


همین سرزمین است که در «شاهنامه» فردوسی توران خوانده شده و یادی از روزگار کهنتر از زمان سرودن «اوستا» است.[نیازمند منبع]}
